Chavez Continuation High School recently brought 18 scholars from Chavez Centennial and Compton High Schools to tour the Carpenters Union 323 South LA Training Facility in Carson.

Compton Unified School District (CUSD) has recorded remarkable achievements on the most recent administration of the California Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBAC), surpassing previous benchmarks in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. This year’s preliminary results demonstrate a significant 8-point increase in ELA and a 6.4-point increase in Mathematics.

Congratulations to Bunche Middle School’s Esports team for taking home not one, but two titles recently. Bunche triumphed in the Compton Unified Esports Middle School Rocket League 3v3 Tournament as well as the West Coast League.

The California state test scores are in and Compton Unified School District is ranked first in performance among unified school districts with similar demographic and socio-economic profiles.

Davis Middle School teacher and Verizon Innovative Learning Schools (ViLs) Coach, Mr. Jose Gonzalez, along with a group of talented student scholars, recently had the honor of presenting at the prestigious 2025 Kamehameha Schools Education Technology Conference in Hawaii.

A group of 29 Bunche Middle School Newcomer scholars took an inspiring field trip to UCLA recently. This college tour opened up a world of possibilities for these students, ensuring that they see themselves in a future where they attend college.
