The History of Frank L. Walton Middle School

On September 14, 1953, Walton Middle School opened its doors to students. The school is named after Frank L. Walton, a pillar in the Compton community at the turn of the 20th Century. In addition to his contributions and philanthropy, he helped establish Compton Junior College and led various community and civic organizations in the City of Compton.
